Accutane is an acne medication manufactured by Roche Holding AG. Accutane has been associated with causing birth defects, inflammatory bowel disease, kidney damage, depression, miscarriage, liver damage, pancreatitis, and suicide. Michael S. Brown, Esq. of California Lawyers Group, LLP, is representing victims of what can only be described as Accutane poisoning. On November 7, 2009, he was quoted in a front page article of the Los Angeles Times after recent medical studies showed a much higher incidence of irritable bowel disease (IBD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), then had previously been reported. Roche had notified the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that it was withdrawing Accutane from the United States market. It had previously withdrawn Accutane from many European markets. We allege that Roche failed to inform doctors and patients of the potential side-effects from taking Accutane, otherwise known as Isotretinoin, is also marketing as a generic acne medicine under the names Sotret, Claravis, and Amnesteem. We are pursuing claims only against Roche, and the other drug manufacturers. We are NOT pursuing patients’ personal doctors. If you, or someone you know, has suffered from any of these side effects, please contact us immediately.
